This report summarises four years of the Healthy Estuaries WA Wilson Inlet water quality monitoring program (June 2019–May 2023) and compares these recent results with the previous reporting period (Oct 2016–May 2019).
We report on the main drivers of estuary health (rainfall, river flows, catchment condition, nutrient inputs and sandbar dynamics) and on the estuary’s response (water quality, seagrass condition).
