The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation published for consultation this draft air emissions guideline for prescribed premises regulated under Part V of the Environmental Protection Act 1986.
The draft guideline applies to all applications for a works approval or licence under Part V of the Act that include an identified air emission component. It provides applicants with further guidance on:
- how the department assesses air emissions;
- the information to include for applications that involve air emissions;
- when a detailed analysis and air emission modelling is required; and
- when air emissions are considered insignificant.
We invited feedback on the draft guideline from October 2019 to January 2020.
