The Electricity Industry (Metering) Code 2012 (Metering Code) places obligations on Horizon Power and Western Power regarding the metering of electricity services. These include specifications for meters and how metering occurs.
Procedures are created under the Metering Code that provide further detail on how the Metering Code is operationalised.
The Economic Regulation Authority enforces the provisions of the Metering Code, including those around the development of procedures.
This unofficial consolidated version of the Metering Code contains amendments gazetted by the Minister for Energy and is current as of 30 January 2024.
