Groundwater pumping to control the watertable at Tammin

Technical Report
Salinity and land use impacts series report SLUI 41 - Trial of groundwater pumping for watertable control at Tammin.
Last updated:

This report investigates engineering options to manage valley-floor salinity in the Wheatbelt of Western Australia through the use of groundwater pumping from a palaeochannel buried in the valley floor north of Tammin.

It provides an understanding of aquifer characteristics, an investigation into the lowering of watertables and reviews the costs and benefits of using groundwater pumping.
