Spanning the cities of Armadale, Gosnells, Kalamunda, and Canning, this highly modified river system supports numerous licensed and riparian water users. Despite urbanization and environmental pressures, the river remains culturally significant to the Whadjuk people and ecologically vital. The document highlights challenges such as climate change, declining rainfall, and catchment degradation, emphasizing the need for collaborative management among communities and government agencies.
