The policy aims to provide decision makers, proponents, and the community with a consistent policy approach to land use planning for proposals adjoining regional roads in Western Australia.
With Operational Policy 1.12 - Proposals adjoining regional roads coming into operation, the following planning instruments will be repealed:
- Development Control Policy 1.7 - General Road Planning (June 1998) and draft Development Control Policy 1.7 General Road Planning (January 2018)
- Development Control Policy 5.1 – Regional Roads Vehicular Access (June 1998) and draft Development Control Policy 5.1 – Regional Roads Vehicular Access (January 2018)
- Draft Operational Policy 1.12 Planning Proposals Adjoining Regional Roads in Western Australia (March 2023).
