Western Australian Procurement Professionalisation Strategy
The Strategy:
- establishes a shared vision for professionalised procurement across WA Government;
- sets sector-wide priorities and focus areas for capability uplift; and
- provides a structured roadmap for implementation over 2026–2030.
Agency Implementation Guide
The Agency Implementation Guide forms part of the Western Australian Procurement Professionalisation Framework and supports State agencies to operationalise the Procurement Professionalisation Strategy 2026–2030.
The Guide provides a practical, proportionate roadmap to help agencies translate whole-of-sector direction into agency-level action, supporting capability uplift, workforce planning and sustained professionalisation over time.
The Guide supports agencies to:
- assess current procurement capability at an agency level;
- use benchmarking insights to identify priority areas for uplift;
- select and sequence capability uplift actions over time;
- align procurement capability with workforce planning and governance; and
- embed professionalisation into existing agency planning and assurance processes.
The Guide is intended to support deliberate, sustained improvement rather than one-off initiatives.
