Karratha is a modern regional city in the western Pilbara, serving as a primary economic and service hub at the intersection of major industry, striking landscapes and World Heritage–listed Aboriginal rock art.
The city and surrounding areas are home to diverse Aboriginal language and cultural groups whose Country spans coastline, river systems and inland ranges, continuing to shape local culture, settlement and economic activity.
As one of Western Australia’s Seven Cities, Karratha will continue strengthening its role as a highly liveable regional city and a central hub for services, workforce and investment.
