Transmission Manufacturing in Western Australia: Industry Request for Information Guidelines

Guidance
This publication contains guidance around submitting feedback to the Transmission Manufacturing in Western Australia: Industry Request for Information
Last updated:

The Department of Energy and Economic Diversification (DEED) is seeking feedback from industry via a Request for Information to better understand current local capabilities in transmission manufacturing, identify gaps and ensure government support is optimally targeted.

The recently launched South West Interconnected System (SWIS) Transmission Plan sets out a strategic blueprint for new and upgraded transmission infrastructure that will help transform WA into a renewable energy powerhouse.

With coal-fired power being phased out by 2030 and major clean energy initiatives underway in the Pilbara, there are significant opportunities for local businesses to pivot or expand their capabilities to support this transition.

We encourage interested parties to read through the guidelines below before submitting feedback.
