Change your contact details
If you hold a licence, registration, or permit with Building & Energy, you must notify us within 14 days if any of your contact details change. This includes:
- Residential/Business/Postal address
- Email address
- Mobile or landline phone number
For Builders, Building Engineers, Building Surveyors & Painters
- Complete: Change of contact details - Form 78
- Submit via:

For Electrical worker, Gas Fitter & Plumbers
Option 1: Update Online
You'll need:
- Your current licence number
You can find the number of your permit, and see if it is current, by checking your certificate or the online licence search.
Access to the email or mobile number you previously provided
A security code will be sent to your email or phone. It's valid for 48 hours and can only be used once.
Option 2: Submit a Form
- Electrical Workers & Gas Fitters:
Complete: Change of address - Form

- Plumbers:
Complete: Change of contact details - Form 79
