The review is to consider the Home Building Contracts Act 1991 (except Part 3A); and the dispute resolution/complaint process in Parts 2 and 3 of the Building Services (Complaint Resolution and Administration) Act 2011.
The WA Government has announced the release of two surveys as part of the review of Western Australia’s home building contract laws.
Consumer (homeowners) and building industry participants are invited to share their views and experiences via the targeted surveys.
The review aims to ensure Western Australians, who are building or renovating their homes, are adequately protected and to build confidence in the building industry.
Building and Energy launched both online surveys on Monday 11 August 2025.
The public was encouraged to provide feedback on your experiences and have your say on any improvements you would like to see to the legislation.
The surveys closed on Friday, 12 September 2025.
