About

The Western Australian (WA) Government has committed $55 million, to support an anchor tenant to establish a manufacturing facility site as part of the Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Hub (AMTECH) in Picton, near Bunbury Western Australia.

Key objectives of securing an anchor tenant

Strengthen Western Australia’s advanced manufacturing capability and industrial capacity by supporting the establishment of scalable manufacturing operations using innovative production processes.

Grow local manufacturing supply chains by increasing the production of Western Australian-made components for clean energy, transmission infrastructure and other strategic industries.

Drive economic diversification and regional development through increased investment, value-added manufacturing, and the creation of skilled jobs in Western Australia.

Deliver long-term economic and social benefits by supporting the development of economic growth and creating opportunities for the South West.
