About

The Western Australian (WA) Government has committed $55 million, as part of the Made in WA program, to establish an anchor tenant site as part of the Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Hub (AMTECH) in Picton, near Bunbury Western Australia.

The establishment of an anchor tenant at the AMTECH precinct will accelerate further long-term benefits for the South West region, including new jobs and opportunities for local businesses. Making more products in Western Australia helps to build the State’s capability and capacity, with long-term sustainable economic development in more diversified industries.

The initial phase for the development of the AMTECH precinct focuses on attracting an anchor tenant with advanced manufacturing capability, including the potential to produce transmission components. The WA Government will support the anchor tenant, including financial assistance to establish a new, world-class facility on site.

A Request for Proposal process to identify and select the anchor tenant will be launched shortly.

The AMTECH anchor tenant selection process is coordinated by the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification.
