About
The Local Capability Fund (LCF) helps small and medium-sized enterprises in Western Australia to increase their capability, capacity and competitiveness as suppliers of products, services and works to the Western Australian Government, major projects and other important markets.
The fund can be used for expenses such as:
- making improvements to internal infrastructure, plant and equipment
- training
- meeting pre-qualification requirements for supply-chain entry
- buying and upgrading essential equipment
- engaging consultants to advise on matters including occupational health and safety, marketing, finance and cybersecurity
- planning improvements to internal infrastructure, plant and equipment and training.

Regional Supplier Rounds
The Regional Supplier Round provides funding support to SMEs across WA's 9 regions to enhance their business capability.
Supplying Key Projects Rounds
Grant fund to help increase the capability and capacity of WA SMEs to supply products, services and works to key government and private sector projects.
Aboriginal Business Round
Supports WA Aboriginal businesses to prepare as suppliers of products, services and works to the Local, State, and Australian Governments and the private sector.
Standards Compliance Round
This round assists with the costs of using external expertise to carry out the implementation and third party certification of select national and international standards.
Digital Transformation Round
Grant fund enabling WA SMEs to enhance their digital capabilities and/or adopt and use digital technologies and data
