Now in its 16th year, the World Indigenous Business Forum (WIBF) is a leading global platform that showcases Indigenous economic development and entrepreneurship, attracting business leaders, policymakers, and innovators from around the world.
The Department of Energy and Economic Development (DEED), through the Aboriginal Economic Development and Engagement Unit (AEDEU), is sponsoring a delegation of up to 10 Aboriginal entrepreneurs, small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and emerging exporters to join Team WA at WIBF 2025, taking place from 28 to 30 October in Melbourne (Naarm).
Who should participate?
We are looking for expressions of interest from WA Aboriginal businesses including:
- mid-to-large SMEs;
- regional entrepreneurs; and
- female entrepreneurs

The Department is committed to fostering Aboriginal economic participation and the advancement of First Nations local industries, businesses and people.
This initiative aligns with DEED’s Reconciliation Action Plan and its vision to build a stronger, more diverse Western Australian economy for all.
Eligible participants will receive the following benefits:
- cover of flights to and from Melbourne, and accommodation costs while participating in WIBF;
