Government Procurement Business Intelligence Reports

We publish a range of interactive government procurement Business Intelligence (BI) Reports and Dashboards to assist agencies in developing insights on their Common Use Arrangement (CUA) expenditure and Tenders WA contracts.
Last updated:

The reports are for public sector employees who are involved in tenders, contracts and buying. They enable you to interrogate data using multiple filters and to visualise the information with dynamic graphics. Most CUA reports are refreshed quarterly, and the Tenders WA dashboard is updated daily. Reports include:

  • CUA Expenditure reports.
  • The Tenders WA Contracts and Request Development dashboard provides you with secure access to view and analyse awarded contracts and variations for all agencies, as well as your own agency’s requests in development.
  • Who Buys What and How reports (agency version).
  • Strategic Forward Procurement Plan (SFPP) Agency Dashboard.

The reports are stored within “Apps”, which may contain one or multiple reports.

The Who Buys What and How public report is available for suppliers, buyers and the general public to review government procurement expenditure. The report contains data on the goods, services and works expenditure of government agencies sourced from information listed on Tenders WA, Common Use Arrangement sales data and other expenditure reports. The data is updated annually and presented on a financial year basis.

The Strategic Forward Procurement Plan (SFPP) Public Report is available for suppliers and the general public to view agencies planned procurements valued at $250,000 and above across two financial years, including goods, services, community services and works procurements.

The Pipeline of Works provides a list of current and future WA Government infrastructure projects.

Why your data matters

Analysing the BI reports and making decisions on your procurement relies on receiving accurate data from your agency.

Make sure the information you enter in Tenders WA is accurate and up to date, including:

  • Supplier and Contract Regions
  • United Nations Standard Products and Services Code (UNSPSC) Classifications
  • Contract Award and Expiry dates
  • Contract Dollar Value
  • Delivering Community Services in Partnership (DCSP) and Aboriginal Procurement flags.
  • Head and Panel Contracts to be correctly identified
  • Contract Variations should be entered in a timely manner

When awarding a contract to Aboriginal businesses use the business directories deemed suitable, which are the Aboriginal Business Directory WA and Supply Nation’s Indigenous Business Direct
