Procurement review, assurance and audit

There are various processes in place to review government procurement processes and projects.
Last updated:

The Gateway Review process exists to provide assurance that major government projects (the majority being ICT or construction projects) are delivered effectively. The State Tenders Review Committee and Community Services Procurement Review Committee review procurement processes valued above $5 million in the goods and services and community services streams respectively. State agencies will be audited against the requirements of the Western Australian Procurement Rules. More details will be provided on this initiative shortly.

These assurance mechanisms provide government and the community with a level of confidence that government procurement processes and projects achieve value for money and are undertaken in a fair and transparent manner.
