The Health and Medical Life Sciences round of the Local Capability Fund fund aims to assist Western Australian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that operate in this sector or are in partnership with a company in this field, with the costs of engaging external expertise to carry out the implementation and third party certification of national and international standards.
The level of funding support is 75% of eligible costs (excluding GST) and up to a maximum of $20,000 per successful applicant. This is in line with the National and International Standards Compliance Round of the Local Capability Fund.
Funding to support growth in this sector is part of the WA Government's $8.65 million commitment to deliver on the actions outlined in its Health and Medical Life Sciences Industry Strategy.
