Booking platforms can use the STRA API to integrate with the STRA Register to report bookings and validate STRA registration numbers.
Booking platform integration
The STRA Register is now integrated with:
- Airbnb
- Vrbo
- Stayz
- Booking.com.
All bookings, changes and cancellations made through these platforms will be automatically uploaded to the STRA Register.
Checking the STRA register
Bookings will be automatically updated if you use one of the above platforms. You do not need to take any action to report them.
The booking information is recorded onto the registration. To view your registration:
- Log in to the STRA Register
- Go to the Individual or Business users dashboard
- Click on the three dots/ellipses (⋮) next to your registration details
- Select View, scroll down the STRA details page.
The bookings are shown towards the bottom of the page (underneath the Facilities offered information).
Setting up integration with the STRA API
Any system managing bookings may be able to integrate with the STRA Register through the API.
Integration with the STRA Register helps your customers meet their regulatory obligations by automatically submitting booking information.
Once integrated, booking platforms are legally required to submit bookings to the STRA Register through the API.
The STRA Register Public API guide provides detail about the STRA Register API including endpoints and authentication protocols. This will help you understand how to use the API and check if you can integrate with the API effectively.
