The Geological Survey of Western Australia (GSWA) hosts conferences to encourage stakeholders to directly engage with GSWA data and network with expert staff. GSWA Open Day is hosted annually in Perth and GSWA Big Day Out is hosted every two years in Kalgoorlie.

Join us for a day of knowledge-sharing, discovery and connection. You will hear updates on our major programs and ongoing projects and how they deliver real outcomes for WA. A future-focused panel discussion will explore data governance and AI in exploration, and you'll have the opportunity to get hands-on with our future data portals.

With plenty of time for Q&As and networking, this event is all about sharing ideas, showcasing impact and strengthening ties across government, industry and community.

Ticketing is open from 8am Monday 4 August and closes at 5pm Friday 7 November 2025.
