As part of our commitment to providing authoritative geoscientific data and services, the Geological Survey of Western Australia hosts conferences in Perth and Kalgoorlie to share new geoscience data and engage with stakeholders in support of the responsible use of the State's natural resources.

Geological Survey of Western Australia's (GSWA) conferences provide you with the opportunity to engage directly with expert geoscientists and resources industry professionals, as well as gain access to our latest data. GSWA Open Day is convened annually in Perth, and GSWA Big Day Out is convened biennially in Kalgoorlie.

GSWA Open Day 2026

GSWA Open Day 2026 is a milestone event Western Australia's resources sector calendar.

Join us for a day of knowledge-sharing, discovery and connection. With Q&A sessions and networking opportunities throughout, the day is dedicated to exchanging ideas, showcasing impact and strengthening ties across government, industry and the WA community.

Registration opens at 9:00 am on Wednesday, 16 September and closes at 5:00 pm Thursday, 12 November 2026. There will be no door sales.
