Resources Online is a consolidated digital solution that enables users to submit, track and manage numerous mining and petroleum environmental lodgements under the Mining Act 1978, State petroleum legislation and for native vegetation clearing permits (for mineral and petroleum activities).
A number of guidelines have been created to support users in lodging applications and reports. These documents do not provide environmental policy or regulatory guidance.
Resources Online guidance – Lodging environmental exploration applications, reports and notices explains how to lodge Programmes of Works, rehabilitation reports, Eligible Mining Activity (EMA) Notices, EMA Closure Notices and EMA Completion Notices for environmental exploration activities.
Resources Online guidance – Lodging and revising petroleum Environment Plans explains how to use the platform to submit, track, manage, revise and resubmit an environment plan, and how to search for a Public Disclosure Document (PDD).
Resources Online guidance – Lodging Native Vegetation Clearing Permits for mineral and petroleum activities explains how to lodge a native vegetation clearing permit (NVCP) for mineral and petroleum activities. Please note that applications will be submitted under the entity you have selected to represent, and all permits and outcome notifications will be issued to that entity accordingly.
Responding to a Request for Information (RFI) provides guidance for users when they receive a Request for Information (RFI) within the Resources Online system. This guidance demonstrates how to navigate to the RFI field and how to complete the request for the continuation of assessment on their application.
Spatial guidance for Resources Online provides advice on lodging spatial files as part of submission of an application.
Spatial upload: Example shapefiles for Resources Online explains example shapefiles that are accepted and coordinate with the Resources Online spatial system. These files contain GDA94 and GDA2020 formats, and can be used when lodging Programmes of Work, Mining Development and Closure Plans (MDCPs) and Eligible Mining Activity notices.
