The State Government is committed to working with all sectors of the economy to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.

The Government has committed to a whole-of-government 2030 emissions reduction target of 80 per cent below 2020 levels for State Government operational emissions. We are delivering a range of initiatives to reduce net emissions and achieve this interim target. Learn more about the Government Emissions Interim Target.

We are also developing climate change legislation to provide an enduring framework for reducing emissions and enhance our climate resilience.
