Findings and orders

The Local Government Inspector is required by the law to publish findings and orders made in relation to conduct and specified breaches under the Local Government Act 1995.

This page provides information relating to:

• Adjudicator Findings - Decisions made by adjudicators in relation to conduct breaches, including any sanctions imposed.
• State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) Findings - Outcomes of matters referred to the SAT, including recurrent and specified breaches.

Each entry includes a summary of the breach, the outcome of the investigation or adjudication, and any orders or sanctions applied.

This transparency ensures that the community and sector stakeholders can see how standards are being upheld and enforced.

The Local Government Inspector commenced statutory powers from 1 January 2026. From this date, the below findings and orders table will populate as matters are handled and outcomes are determined.
