Grants and partnerships

We believe safer roads are shaped in communities - by the people who know them, and how people move through them.

How we work

Through our grants and partnerships, we reach people we can’t reach alone - giving them the information, understanding and tools they need to stay safe. It's how we turn community reach into real behaviour change, so more Western Australians get home safely to the people they love.

The impact we create together

Every investment we make is designed to influence real behaviour in real communities.

Every grant and partnership is assessed on its potential to create lasting road safety impact across WA.

Our grants and partnerships are guided by five priority areas. Programs and initiatives may address more than one area and the most powerful work sits across several.

Informed, aware communitiesPositive road safety attitudesSafer choices, every dayRoad safety for allA lasting road safety culture
We back initiatives that help communities understand and act on road safety reaching people where they are, in ways that resonate. We support programs that shift how communities think and feel about road safety by influencing the attitudes that drive behaviour. We back programs that build the skills, confidence and understanding people need to make safer choices every day. The goal is behaviour change you can see — and sustain.Road safety isn't one size fits all, so we prioritise investment that removes barriers and closes equity gaps by reaching communities that are underserved and supporting people through road trauma. The biggest change happens over time. We invest in long-term partnerships that embed road safety into the fabric of community life, so that safer behaviours endure long after the funding period ends.
  • More Western Australians understand how to stay safe on the roads
  • Road safety messages reach new communities and audiences
  • Partners extend RSC's reach into places we can't access alone
  • Community attitudes toward road safety become more informed and considered
  • Road safety becomes part of everyday community conversation
  • Social acceptance of unsafe behaviour is reduced
  • People leave with practical skills they can apply immediately
  • Specific unsafe behaviours are directly addressed and reduced
  • Communities are more confident to make safer road choices
  • Road safety support reaches communities that are underserved or harder to engage
  • People affected by road trauma have access to culturally safe and practical support
  • Barriers to road safety are actively reduced
  • Road safety becomes embedded in partner organisations and communities
  • Behaviour change is sustained beyond the funding period
  • Long-term community reach drives meaningful shifts in road safety culture across WA
