$1 million grants awarded to Early Childhood Education and Care sector

Sixteen organisations have been awarded over $1 million for projects and initiatives that facilitate children’s early learning and development and support their transition to school.

The Supporting Children in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) Western Australia's (WA) grants program, administered by Child Australia, will benefit more than 5700 children across WA, including: 

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children
  • Children living in regional, remote and very remote communities
  • Children experiencing significant disadvantage
  • Children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • Children in the care of the CEO Department of Communities

The grants have been made available to the ECEC sector in WA for the first time through the Preschool Reform Agreement (PRA).
