We are proud to announce the 39 Western Australian (WA) scientists, students, educators and engagement initiatives recognised as finalists in the Premier's Science Awards 2026.
Now in its 25th year, the awards program recognises outstanding achievements in scientific research, study, education and engagement from across the State.
This year's finalists reflect the talent and innovation driving excellence across science and research in WA. Their contributions are also helping to inspire future generations to pursue studies and careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).
In 2026, the Awards will recognise WA scientists and researchers across ten categories and the People’s Choice Award.

Administered by the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification, the Awards demonstrate the WA Government’s commitment to raising the profile of STEM across the State.
