The Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist to create artwork for our 2025-2028 Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan.
This artwork commission would suit an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist with experience in 2D practices such as graphic design, digital art, painting, printmaking or drawing.
The Stretch RAP will focus on high-impact commitments based on defined measurable targets and goals. It will incorporate valuable contributions from across the business areas to ensure a collaborative, Department-wide approach. Together, we aim to create a transformative impact that aligns with our commitment to reconciliation.
We are seeking an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander artist who can create a unique and exclusive visual artwork piece for the Department that:
- represents the spirit of reconciliation in community;
- aligns with the Department’s vision, values, and services and represents the regions in which we operate in Western Australia;
- demonstrates artistic excellence and is innovative;
- can be supplied in both physical and digital format (file type to be discussed with successful applicant);
- can be finalised within agreed timelines; and
- includes a certificate of authenticity upon completion before supplying to the Department.
Expressions of Interest close on Friday, 14 February 2025.
