This is the 34th commemoration of this day; this year focussing on the theme of ‘Ageing with dignity: The importance of Strengthening Care and Support Systems for Older Persons Worldwide’.
The theme this year recognises the challenges and opportunities that present as a population ages, such as the demand for healthcare, care, and social support services.
The State Government is committed to implementing initiatives that support older people in ageing safely with dignity and respect.
