This is the 35th commemoration of this day. This year’s theme is “Older Persons Driving Local and Global Action: Our Aspirations, Our Well-Being, Our Rights”

The theme this year recognises and supports the role of older people driving change at local and global levels in areas such as healthy, finance, community resilience and human rights advocacy.

The State Government is committed to implementing initiatives that support older people in ageing safely with dignity and respect.
