Commonwealth Government Energy Efficiency Grants for Small Businesses

The Commonwealth Government has opened the Small Business Stream of the Energy Efficient Communities Program.

Grants of up to $20,000 are now available to small businesses for energy audits or energy efficiency feasibility studies, equipment upgrades that reduce energy consumption, and monitoring or management of energy and emissions.

A maximum of three applications will be funded for each Federal Electorate.

Applications will close on 26 August 2020. Details are available here.

Other Funding Streams

  • Grants of up to $20,000 are available for Dairy Farming Businesses. Applications are now open and will close on 17 August 2020. Details are available here.
  • Applications will open shortly for the Large Business stream. High energy-using businesses will be able to apply for grants of up to $25,000, noting that a matching co-contribution will be required.
  • Applications for the Community Organisations stream of the program have now closed.
