Under the refresh, Communities is operating two funding rounds each financial year, with the first sponsorship window now officially open for applications.
The refresh introduces a simplified online process for eligible organisations and ensures funding is available for a wider range of events and initiatives.
Sponsorship applications are capped at $20,000 (ex GST) per event or initiative, subject to the discretion of the Director General, with applications for the first round officially closing at midnight on 31 August 2025.
Organisations are encouraged to visit Communities’ website to learn more and apply.
Round 2 funding is scheduled to open in February 2026.
