Young Western Australians are invited to share their creativity and ideas to decide the theme and artistic direction for Youth Week WA 2026.
Opening today to celebrate International Youth Day, the Youth Week WA Theme and Design Competition seeks original and inclusive ideas that reflect the diversity, interests, and perspectives of young people aged 10 to 25 across the State.
Participants are encouraged to submit themes that are creative, punchy, powerful, and accessible to a broad audience, while capturing the spirit and values of Youth Week WA.
A judging panel including the 2026 Youth Week WA Ambassadors and the Ministerial Youth Advisory Council will select the winning entry. The winner will play a key role in shaping the vision for Youth Week WA 2026 and gain exposure through Department of Communities social media channels, helping to promote the theme throughout the community. The winning entrant, if eligible, will also receive an Apple iPad as a prize.
Youth Week WA is the State’s largest annual celebration of young people, offering opportunities to express ideas, raise important issues, and connect with peers.
The theme for Youth Week WA 2025 was, ‘Our Threads, This Place, Your Moment’ and centred on young peoples’ connection with community, each other and themselves. You can view the full schedule of events, and other highlights from Youth Week WA 2025, by visiting the Youth Week WA website.
