Around 200 people registered to attend the popular webinar which combined information on the WA Equal Opportunity Act 1984, the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and lived experience navigating educational institutions from a person with a disability.

Manager Strategy and Engagement Diana MacTiernan said the popularity of the event demonstrated the need for this kind of information.

"There has been an increase in enquiries regarding impairment discrimination in education over the past couple of years, so it was well worth doing to provide clarity around the relevant legislation from the Commission's perspective," she said.

The recording has been added to the Commission's website for those who missed out on the live event.
