Thousands of Western Australian children are currently cared for by foster and family carers or live in residential care.

The book and toy drive, part of National Child Protection Week, which runs from 3-9 September, will support the learning of children and young people in care. This year’s theme is ‘Where we start matters’.

We are calling on the Western Australian community to assist with donations of new books and toys to support children in care of all ages.

Drop off new books and toys at your local Member of Parliament’s office or other selected locations. Email booktoydrive@communities.wa.gov.au for the list of participating MPs.

All new books and toys should be dropped off by Monday 4 September 2023.
