Grants available for projects to advance gender equality

The Women’s Grants for a Stronger Future Program, administered by Department of Communities, is now open for applications for the 2025–26 funding round, with $585,000 in funding available to support a variety of projects that will advance gender equality.

There are two separate grant opportunities for projects that align with Stronger Together: WA’s Plan for Gender Equality and support and empower Western Australian women.

The Women’s Grants for a Stronger Future 2025-26 - Annual Grants Program provides grants of up to $10,000 for one-off initiatives.

A second program focused on primary prevention of violence against women will allocate grants of up to $150,000 to fund projects that work towards the primary prevention of violence against women with a focus on sexual violence.

  • Applications  for the Safety and Justice grants program are open and will close on 3 October 2025.
  • Applications  for the Annual Grants Program open on 15 September and close on 17 October 2025.
