The Council believes the place is likely to be of State cultural heritage significance for its close association with Silver Chain, an organisation established in WA in 1905 to support less fortunate families and which provided nursing services from 1907.
This building is one of the earliest structures built for Silver Chain’s cottage home complex, established at this location in 1916 to accommodate elderly patients who could no longer live independently.
We invite you to share your thoughts on the proposal to include Silver Chain Nursing League Building in the State Register of Heritage Places. Your feedback is invaluable in highlighting the significance of this place and its stories.
Please complete the online survey or provide your comments via email by Friday 11 July 2025 on the proposed registration of the Silver Chain Nursing League Building.
