The Housing First Homelessness Advisory Group recently met for the final time for 2025, and its members reflected on a productive year of collaboration and connection. The Advisory Group was established in 2023 to progress implementation of ‘All Paths Lead to a Home: Western Australia’s 10-Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020-2030’.

The Advisory Group is a collective voice made up of representatives from the community, sector and government leaders, experts, and people with lived experience of homelessness.

This year, the Advisory Group engaged with Government on:

  • Tailored responses to homelessness across priority cohorts (such as youth and Aboriginal people)
  • Intersectionality between homelessness, family and domestic violence, disability and aged care services
  • Key commissioning activities; and
  • Workforce development across the homelessness community service sector.

The Advisory Group has been integral to the development of the Action Plan 2026-2030 through their provision of rich, considered feedback and advice.
