From Monday 15 August, each household in WA will be able to collect a further 20 free Rapid Antigen Tests (RATs).

An extra 21.4 million free nasal RATs have been allocated to WA households as part of the WA Free RAT Program.

Households can collect the nasal RATs from drive-through collection points, COVID-19 vaccination and testing clinics. Locations across the State’s suburbs and regions are listed on the WA free RAT program page.

Providing free RATs to the community will help address cost of living pressures and is an important measure to easily detect COVID-19 early.

They should also be used if you’re a close contact and plan to leave home. If so, you are required to do the following for seven days:

  • Test negative on a RAT each day
  • Have no COVID-19 symptoms
  • Wear a mask outside home
  • Avoid high-risk settings.

Western Australians are strongly encouraged to wear a mask indoors, practise good hand hygiene and stay up to date with vaccination.
