Department of Communities is proud to partner with Youth Futures to deliver the supported accommodation service for young people aged between 15 to 19.

The Teenagers in Need of Crisis Accommodation (TINOCA) II is now known as Djinda meaning ‘star’ in the Noongar language.

Djinda is a new purpose-built six bed supported accommodation facility in the Northern suburbs where young people are provided with 24/7 support. Nearly $4 million in funding has been provided to Youth Futures to operate the new youth homelessness service, providing vital support for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

In addition, the Department of Communities has repurposed an existing property with nine beds for the Transitional Accommodation Program (TAP) to support young people into more long-term accommodation.
