Nominations are now open for the 23rd annual WA Youth Awards.

The Awards celebrate the achievements, talents and contributions to the community of Western Australians aged 12 to 25 years, as well as individuals and organisations that work with and support the State's young people.

Nominations are open for the following categories:

  • The Charmaine Dragun Memorial Award
  • ECU Community Leadership Award
  • Propel Youth Arts WA Creative Contribution Award
  • Mission Australia Young Changemaker Award
  • Youth Futures Innovation for a Sustainable Future Award
  • Aboriginal Health Council of WA Positive Achievement Award
  • Youth Focus Sector Collaboration Award
  • The Y WA Collective Action Award
  • Commissioner for Children and Young People Participate Award
  • Minister for Youth’s Most Outstanding Youth Worker Award

Category winners receive a $1,000 cash prize. A WA Young Person of the Year award will be selected from categories which honour individuals.

The WA Young Person of the Year will receive a $10,000 bursary to participate in youth-related activities.

Nominations close on Saturday, 5 March 2022 with winners to be announced at the WA Youth Awards on Friday 8 April at WA Museum Boola Bardip.
