Community Education Officer Greg Watson delivered the training session on discrimination and equal opportunity to 20 AMEP students at the TAFE campus.

"It is important for those training for careers to be aware of their rights and responsibilities, especially those who speak English as an additional language," he said.

"It is encouraging that TAFE campuses offer their AMEP students training in discrimination and equal opportunity, as it really does better prepare them, not only for the workforce but life in general," he said.

Greg said the students responded well to the information given at the session.

"The students were interested and engaged and demonstrated a high level of appreciation for what they learnt," he said.
