Tenants will move into the State Government’s RSLM homes in Geraldton from early 2026, allocated through a coordinated and centralised process.
The RSLM is a $53 million State Government initiative to deliver 100 regional social homes with wraparound supports to foster sustainable and permanent tenancies for people transitioning out of chronic homelessness or rough sleeping.
The community housing provider, Salvation Army Housing, will manage the tenancies and link tenants to support services.
Geraldton was the first location selected for the establishment of the RSLM. Its rollout builds on the success of the supportive landlord model pilot, Djuripiny Mia, which has delivered 100 homes and is currently supporting over 200 individuals who were at risk of, or experiencing, homelessness across Perth, Peel and Bunbury.
The RSLM is thanks to the State Government’s record $6.3bn investment in housing and homelessness measures since 2021 and delivers on a key priority of the State Government's All Paths Lead to a Home: Western Australia's 10 Year Strategy on Homelessness 2020–2030, which aims to improve outcomes for Western Australians experiencing, or at risk of homelessness.
