Exceptional seniors, advocates and organisations were recognised for their work with WA seniors at the 2025 WA Seniors Awards ceremony at Government House today.
The WA Senior of the Year - Metropolitan Award goes to Anne Moore, who was recognised for her leadership and commitment to the Lucy Saw Centre Association, working for more than 30 years to transform the association from a small local refuge into a multi-site service supporting thousands of women and children escaping family violence.
Elizabeth Smith is the recipient of the WA Senior of the Year - Regional Award. A much-loved Pilbara identity, Elizabeth has dedicated more than 30 years to strengthening the local community to support Elders, families, and cultural traditions, including the annual Elders' birthday celebration in Roebourne.

WA Age-friendly Business Award recipient is Val and Kathy’s Crafty Kitchen.

The 2025 WA Seniors Awards were presented by Advocare in partnership with the Department of Communities and Lotterywest.
