New RTO application forms aligned with the Registration Standards 2025 (2025 Standards) are now available in the TAC RTO Portal.
Available Forms:
- RTO1a – Application for Initial Registration
- RTO1b – Application for Renewal of Registration
- RTO2 – Amendment to Registration
The application forms can be accessed in the RTO Portal from today, however RTOs will not be able to submit the new application forms until 1 January 2026.
To support RTOs in preparing their applications, revised Self-Assessment Tools and Application Guides have been developed including step-by-step instructional clips for each application.
Key Dates:
- 31 October 2025: Application forms, Self-Assessment Tools, Application Guides, and instructional clips are available.
- Until 31 December 2025: RTOs must continue to submit applications against the 2015 Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015 (Standards for RTOs 2015).
- From 1 January 2026: Applications must be submitted against the 2025 Standards. Applications against the Standards for RTOs 2015 will no longer be accepted.
