What are the Access Awards?
The Access Awards are hosted by the Centre for Accessibility, celebrating outstanding examples of digital accessibility across government, corporate, education and not-for-profit sectors.
The Centre for Accessibility is an active partner in DPC’s commitment to digital inclusion and are a longstanding member of the Digital Inclusion Leadership Forum — a senior-level group providing support to digital inclusion outcomes.
The importance of digital accessibility
Digital accessibility is at the forefront of DGov’s work, to ensure as many people as possible across WA can access important information, services and resources available, through platforms such as WA.gov.au, the ServiceWA app and PeopleWA.
It’s also important in the progression of the State Disability Strategy 2020-2030, the Digital Strategy for the Western Australian Government 2021-2025 and the Digital Inclusion in WA Blueprint.
In support of broader digital inclusion goals, DPC also partners with Technology for Ageing and Disability WA (TADWA) to donate end-of-life digital devices to seniors and the disabled in WA.
Winners of the Australian Access Awards will be announced 12 November 2025 at Optus Stadium.
