This year, more than 30 young people and youth groups comprise the finalist list for the WA Youth Awards and include young changemakers, musicians, technologists, mental health advocates, disability activists and community leaders.

Also among the inspiring cohort are youth workers and youth-focused community sector initiatives including alternative schooling programs, new approaches to case management and life-changing programs supporting migrant and refugee women.

Finalists come from all over the Perth metropolitan area as well as the regional communities of Meekatharra, Albany, Capel, Bunbury, Port Hedland and Marble Bar.

Category winners, along with the WA Young Person of the Year, will be announced at a gala dinner on 14 October 2022 at the WA Museum Boola Bardip.
