Cyril Jackson Senior Campus is an independent public senior secondary school in Bassendean. It serves approximately 600 students of whom over 50 percent have a non-English speaking background and two percent are Aboriginal.

Stalls included government agency information stalls, community stalls and catering stalls hosted by Cyril Jackson students.

Communications Officer Sarah Johnston said the variety of activities created a vibrant celebration of multiculturalism within the Cyril Jackson campus.

"The Commission's stall was well attended by students and staff seeking information about equal opportunity and the Commission's work, while designing badges to reflect what Harmony Day means to them," she said.

Sarah said information stalls at community events gave the Commission an opportunity to get to know WA better and to find out what was important to the state's diverse population.

"Events like Harmony Day at Cyril Jackson allow us to provide a face and a human side to the Commission, which is so important for agencies like ours," she said.
