The Department of Communities (Communities) has established the Western Australian Forced Adoptions Reference Group.
The group comprises 12 members who identify as having experienced a forced adoption between the years 1939 to the early 1980s. They will help to guide the implementation of the Government Response to Report 66 - Broken Bones, Fractured Lives: Report on the Inquiry into Past Forced Adoption in Western Australia.
Establishment of the Reference Group arises from Recommendation 39 supported by the Government.
