At the Commission we believe indirect discrimination can increase the already high representation of marginalised groups in the criminal justice system.
By assessing policies and practices to see if they impact negatively on marginalised groups organisations can adopt the principals of Substantive Equality to reduce the impact of indirect discrimination which may in turn save lives and decriminalise.
