Taking charge – tips for sourcing your quotes

  • The Charge Up Workplace Grant provides co-funding for EV chargers (hardware), software and installation. As part of the application process, you will need to provide quotes for these three items.
  • It is essential that you select your software and hardware from the approved list.
  • Not all hardware is compatible with all software, so select the software that best meets the needs of your organisation first. Then find EV chargers (hardware) that works with your chosen software. Your approved software supplier can help.
  • Quotes that are properly itemised are essential for a smooth assessment process. Refer to the sample quote on the commercial quote requirements document for an example.
  • Know who you can get quotes from for each co-funded item:
Co-Funded item Who can provide you with a quote?
EV Charger(s) A reputable retailer or supplier able to supply an EV charger (s) listed on the approved list.
Software A software supplier from the approved list.
Installation A qualified electrician capable of connecting your installed EV charger to your software.
  • Some of the software suppliers on the approved list provide turn-key services. This means that they can supply you with software, hardware and manage the installation. In this case, you can provide one quote per site, as long as it has a breakdown of the EV charger, software and installation costs.
  • You should conduct your own research and obtain several quotes from qualified and experienced professionals.
