The Department of Local Government, Industry Regulation and Safety (LGIRS) Strategic Plan 2026–30: Delivering Regulatory Excellence. The plan defines our department's purpose, vision, and five strategic priorities that will guide us for the next four years to becoming a modern, high-performing regulator delivering quality services to our community.
This plan outlines a clear and coordinated path forward to operating as one, cohesive organisation that delivers consistent, transparent and risk-based regulation, supported by integrated data and systems streamlined processes, and a capable workforce that can deliver consistently and adapt to changing demands.

Our strategic plan will bridge the gap between our department’s day-to-day work and the high-level agency goals and WA Government priorities that drive us. We will continue to monitor and evaluate our progress to ensure we remain on track to achieving these goals over the next four years.
